The Consequences of a Leaking Gutter

The Consequences of a Leaking Gutter

Your gutters are high up, perhaps out of sight and you never bother tolook at them. It’s worth taking the trouble to do so. They easily become blocked with moss and in particular leaves if you have trees nearby.

When blocked they over spill causing damage both outside to the brickwork and mortar pointing, and perhaps more damagingly to your plasterwork and decorations inside. If left unchecked for prolonged periods the damp environment created could in the worst cases lead to an outbreak of Dry Rot. Now, that would be expensive to repair.
