Roof Problems

Long term problems with the roof covering of this 1930s house in Leicester may have been exacerbated by recent storms.

Clearly widespread repair or probable refoofing is needed.

The interesting feature here locally for a suburban property is the covering is made of Collyweston Slates (stone tiles) which are much more commonly seen in nearby Rutland. The village of Collyweston and it’s quarry lie just over the border in Lincolnshire.
