This house had been designed and built for the vendor. Plans in the house dated October 1965 suggest it was built in 1966. It was largely “untouched” since that time, also having a typical pale pink bathroom suite.
This is a timber and painted metal staircase leading to a galleried landing. Similar to many department store staircases from the 1960s?
The bright green paintwork on the doors and loud patterned carpet are similarly evocative of the period.
