Another sign of structural movement

Another sign of structural movement

Easy to miss but look at the slope on this floor. The  new laminate has been laid directly onto the original suspended timber floor which slopes clearly down towards the front wall of the house.

The role of your surveyor is to identify this has happened, assess why it has happened and advise you if the floor and wall have stopped moving!

In this case, I think it has. But it’s often difficult to be certain when a property has recently been renovated and most of the obvious tell tale signs have been concealed by new flooring and paintwork.
